By connecting your Slack & Lessonly accounts, you can receive your Lessonly assignment notifications directly within Slack.
How do I install the integration?
Each learner will need to follow the below steps to add assignment notifications to their Slack account. Slack currently does not have the functionality to add integrations at the global account level.
Step 1: As a slack user, head over to Lessonly’s integration in the Slack App Directory. On the page listing, search for Lessonly, select the green “Add to Slack” button to begin the set-up process:
Step 2: This then will direct you to a setup screen with this image below. Click Connect.
This will process will only occur for the first user to set up the Slack integration on their desktop, for each subsequent user the button will say “Open In Slack.”
Step 3: If you aren’t already logged into your Lessonly account on the browser you’re using, you will be prompted to do so. If you are already logged in within this browser, this step will be skipped.

What Notifications will I receive with this integration?
You will only receive notifications of newly assigned content. Lessonly does have other notifications that are sent via email - such as due date notifications, waitsteps opening, overdue assignments, as well as notifications that a lesson has been graded, but these will not be sent via Slack.

As a Lessonly administrator, can I hide the Slack promo banner on my team’s assignment emails?
Yes. Email your Lessonly Account Manager and/or support@lessonly.com to get this removed.
As a Lessonly administrator, can I disallow my employees from downloading this app?
Yes. You can turn off the integration capability from the Account level. Email your Lessonly Account Manager and/or support@lessonly.com, and we are able to turn this feature off.

What if I’m not seeing notifications after I set it up?
Halp Slack
You’ll only receive notifications for new assignments (old assignments will not appear, this integration will not work retroactively). If you are still not seeing new assignments, email support@lessonly.com with details of the error, and we’ll take a look at it for you.
